Tonight is Oscar Night in the real world, but of course my mind is still focused on baseball.  Anyways, I would like to take some time to make my Oscar Predictions a few minutes before it starts:

Best Picture: Slumdog Millionaire
Best Actor: Mickey Rourke
Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger
Best Actress: Kate Winslet
Best Supporting Actress: Viola Davis

Even though there is not much going on, Garret Anderson signed with the Braves today, ending his 15-season gig with the Angels.  So the Braves lost one of their long time heroes in John Smoltz, and countered it in a way by signing Garret Anderson.
     According to Mr. Coletti of Yahoo Sports (I don't know his first name so we'll just call him Mr. Coletti), the Manny debate is heating up.  I think people are getting too worked up over Manny.  He was good for one half of his free agent year, and facing the worst pitching in the NL West.  He's going to go to the Dodgers anyways.
    Well that's all for today, even though it's pretty short.  I guess there isn't too much baseball news on a Sunday day in February.
